At Loru, our mission is simple: To empower women to feel beautiful on her special day.
Each garment is beautifully crafted using professional dressmaking techniques. Throughout the design process, we treat every garment with care as if it were our own. Our pieces exhibit modern femininity, elegance and sophistication - each mirroring the bride’s personal unique style.

Our clients may choose from our ‘Made-To-Order’ options, any one of which can be customized according to personal preference, or create a breathtaking, ‘One of a Kind’ couture gown.
We believe that fashion is about finding your individual style and having the courage to express it. We seek to create mesmerizing designs that enhance the wearer’s confidence and leave unforgettable impressions.

THE DESIGNER

Loren Williams is the Owner and Creative Director / Lead Designer for Loru. Her inspiration comes from the art of fashion, vintage films and most importantly, God.
From an early age, Loren knew she would have her own fashion line one day. As early as age 6, she spent much of her free time drawing dresses for her mother who would hang them on the refrigerator for guests to see.
Fashion design and sewing were actually in Loren’s blood before she was born. Both her paternal grandmother and great-grandmothers were seamstresses in Walterboro, South Carolina. Her great-grandmother, Alma Kate Bennett, was the first African-American woman in Walterboro, SC to own a shop; it was called ‘Alma’s Sewing Room’.
Loren graduated with a BS in Fashion Merchandising from the University of South Carolina in 2015. While working full-time as a project management consultant in the finance industry, she then went to study Fashion Design at Le Fashion Lab where she obtained her Fashion Design Certificate in 2020. This knowledge combined with Loren’s skillsets, gives her the ability to design and create beautiful wedding garments.
Loren’s goal is to empower women from all walks of life to feel confident and beautiful on their wedding day.
